I had the same experience. The supposed correct answer to number 11 was without a capital for the first letter. This is all too common in these puzzles. Obviously BP staff are not computer competent enough to make puzzles.

It also fails with "It's". Leave English quizzes to English speakers.

It was the full stop cause i made the same mistake, once i removed it i got it correctly. This is a poorly made quiz and a waste of time.

My anwers to 6, 11, 19, and 20 were marked incorrect even though they matched the correct answers!

I got that one, but it told me that I was wrong to spell "received" because the correct spelling was "received". So I just stopped there

Same thing here. It even says 'Write the correct version of this SENTENCE'.

I wrote *It's* and nope..

It may have been changed since you tried it, but it accepted "it is" - it refused "it's" even though the answer said it is also allowable - same one two others that you would naturally use the abbreviated form for - which is daft, is if you use the full form, it wouldn't be mistaken for the wrong one - "they're" sounds like "their", but not like "they are".

Me too. I typically love these but I'll be more discerning when choosing in the future. It's a pattern with some posters, and it's no longer fun but frustrating.

It looks like you included a period. That's why it was "wrong". They left out the ending punctuation from every sentence.

I thikn it's OK with capitals, maybe the ful stop threw it? I gave up o that one as well, as it happens, because I didn't realise that their "full form" meant to leave out the apostrophe.

It did not want periods at the end of the sentences. Ridiculous.

That would be proper English to me. Or at least "she'd". "She better" is a colloquialism.

I was thinking the same! Just adding 'be' isn't really correct English, is it?

English isn't my first language, but when I noticed that one. I thought either it should be "she HAD better BE prepared" or "she SHOULD BE better prepared" depending upon the context.

It works fine just adding 'be'. "She better be prepared next time."
